Founder's Day & Duck Derby

June 8, 2026

This weekend, we have a few events coming up. This post details the road closures and barricades for these events and highlights important information.

At 10am on Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Founder’s Day Bicycle Parade will start. Attached below is a map highlighting the parade route as well as barricade locations. The parade route, highlighted in pink on the map, will begin by the courthouse and end by East 2nd Street. Event staff will place barricades, shown in red on the map, on North Main Street and North 1st Street (next to the Courthouse), at the intersection of Main Street and Wall Street, by the Post Office, and by East 2nd Street. Please note that Wall Street will remain open for through traffic before 10am and after 11am. Event staff will be managing this barricade movement. This barricade movement is shown on the map with black arrows.

The Founder’s Day event, open to the public, will also take place in Basham Park, from 9:30am to 5pm.

Finally, there is a new event this year: the Willow Creek Duck Derby. This event begins at 1pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026. A separate map has been attached highlighting important information as well as showing the Duck Derby Route. No road closures will take place during the Willow Creek Duck Derby.

Please remember this weekend to stay safe, drive carefully throughout Creede, and to have fun!
