The Planning and Zoning Board strives to protect Creede’s history and promote growth while following Creede’s Building Code. The Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Please check our calendar on the homepage for any changes in schedule.

Virginia Christensen Board
Duties and Responsibilities
The Virginia G. Christensen Fund was granted to the City of Creede in 1999. Fund income is used to enrich the quality of life for residents and visitors to the Creede & Mineral County Area. Since its receipt, the Virginia G. Christensen Fund has invested more than 1 million dollars into our area!
Virginia Christensen Funds support a wide range of community initiatives and projects in the Upper Rio Grande Area. The Town of Creede acts as a Trustee of the Virginia Christensen Trust Fund.
Each spring, applicants (NON-PROFITS) may apply for funding.
