Phase 4 Sewer Upgrade Project -- Potholing

Gardner Excavating will be starting the Phase 4 Sewer “Potholing Project” on Tuesday 9/8/26. Potholing is the process of simply locating underground utilities using a Vac truck, backhoe, or similar means to find the locations and depths of any utility lines that are present in scope of work to be done in the near future. In this case, potholing is being done for the Phase 4 Sewer Upgrade Project.

Gardner Excavating will be working approximately 8:00 am until 5:00 pm M-F in the next upcoming weeks. The areas are along Aspen Ave & W. 3rd St, Silver Dr, Bee McClure, Helfin Dr, Soapy St, Capital/Aspen, and Aspen/W. 3rd St. Please see the attached maps of these various locations that Gardner Excavating (and the Creede PW Dept. crew) will be working in the upcoming weeks.

Please drive carefully in any work zone areas and try to detour around the work zone areas if at all possible. Please help spread the word within your departments and/or business to help keep everyone aware of this project moving forward.
