Memorial Day Weekend Road Closures

We have a busy weekend ahead of us. With the multiple events taking place over this Memorial Day weekend, there will be some road closures.

On Friday (5/22), Creede Repertory Theatre will be hosting an event from 5 pm to 10 pm on the sidewalk adjacent to 120 S. Main. Barricades will be going up in the area before 5 pm and removed after 10 pm. Barricade locations are highlighted in the map attached labeled “CRT Sidewalk Event.”

On Saturday (5/23) & Sunday (5/24), Taste of Creede will be taking place. Barricades will be placed along North and South Main Street near the intersections of N. 1st Street (courthouse), Wall Street, and E. 2nd St. (K Belle parking lot entrance). This event will take place from 8 am to 6 pm both days. Event volunteers and staff will be placing the barricades out early Saturday morning (before 8:00 am), keeping the Wall Street cross traffic open during the event. The barricades will then be removed from the roadway at the conclusion of the event (approximately 6:00 pm). The barricades and road closures are shown on the attached map labeled “Taste of Creede”.

On Monday (5/25), a Memorial Day service will be held on Main Street. South Main Street will be closed between Wall Street and East Second Street. The street will be closed from approximately 9:30 am to 12 pm. This is shown on the attached map labeled “Memorial Day Service”.
