Road Closure on Aspen Avenue -- Sanitary Sewer Upgrade Project

Attention Residents of Creede

Beginning September 28th, Gardner Excavating will begin work on Aspen Avenue regarding Phase 4 of the Sanitary Sewer Upgrade Project. They expect to finish upgrading the sewer line installations on Aspen Ave on approximately October 30th, however, this work/timeframe is highly weather dependent. Their work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. **Please note that no work is scheduled on Friday 10/2.**

Unfortunately, due to the nature of this work and the narrow road, this section of Aspen Ave will be closed to through traffic and parking. Attached is a map showing the road closure area, highlighted in orange. We ask residents to please plan ahead each day and move your vehicles prior to 7:00 am to below the work zone. (There is a wide spot on S. Aspen near house #209 for parking, along with a wide spot at the W.3rd and Capital intersection that can be utilized.) Gardner Excavating will ensure the road is open daily at 5:00 pm for vehicular traffic. The contractor has been instructed to ensure that any/all emergency vehicles to have access through the work zone, if/when necessary.
